Arapahoe Basin is a ski resort in Colorado. It offers 2,530 feet of vertical drop, 1,428 skiable acres. Arapahoe Basin opened in 1946, founded by Larry Jump and Sandy Schauffler with a single rope tow. Alterra Mountain Company acquired the resort in 2024. Official trail maps divide the mountain into seven distinct areas, including the Front Side, Montezuma Bowl, The Beavers, Steep Gullies, East Wall, Molly Hogan and Pallavicini.
