Construction began in spring 1964. Après Vous Mountain opened to skiers in December 1965, and the original Aerial Tram began operating in 1966. Jackson Hole has a 4,139-foot vertical drop and an open backcountry gate system that accesses more than 3,000 additional acres beyond the in-bounds 2,500 acres.
