Palisades Tahoe is a ski resort in California. It offers 2,850 feet of vertical drop, 6,000 skiable acres, 288 marked runs, served by 39 lifts, with an average of about 400" of snow a year. The original Palisades mountain opened on November 24, 1949 and hosted the 1960 Olympic Winter Games. Alpine Meadows opened December 28, 1961; the two resorts joined under common ownership in 2011 and the combined resort adopted the Palisades Tahoe name in 2021. The destination combines two distinct mountains and reports 6,000 skiable acres, 288 trails and 23 bowls.
