The resort began as Sierra Ski Ranch in 1946 and later adopted the Sierra-at-Tahoe name. It rebuilt and restored terrain following the 2021 Caldor Fire. A 2025 official update states 2,000 acres, 50 trails and 2,212 vertical feet. Other current profiles list 46–48 trails and 10–14 lifts.
